Apr 20, 2009 · LSU wide receiver Demetrius Byrd remains in stable condition at the intensive care unit of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital after being involved in a car accident on Sunday while traveling to church. The NFL draft prospect has been receiving hourly CAT scans to monitor his condition, according to a source close to the situation.
The statement did not give Byrd's injuries or any details about the crash Sunday. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Demetrius, and with his mother Sharon and the entire Byrd family," Dunn said.
