Nov 16, 2006 · The only solution is to increase the dialysate rate – we did not get the #14 alarm at 3.1 L/hour or above, but each machine might be slightly different. When we did this using 20 L. of dialysate it meant that the dialysate would be all gone in 20/3.1 or about 6.5 hours of dialysis.

Nov 24, 2006 · NxStage Tech support has really not responded with a solution that cures this problem with this machine(our machine)…So my problem must be an isolated problem. Tech Support suggestion of increasing the dialysate rate to 3.5 has not worked on this machine, Heard from Mel that he has been successful using this technique to avoid the #14 yel alarm.
May 30, 2007 · 3)Howmany treatments per cartridge (again presuming 20L per treatment) 4)From your info., I calculated I would need 60 cases per month of dialysate (assuming 20L per treatment) plus additional cases for the cartridges. That seems like a huge amount of storage space needed for a months supply. Am I missing something.
Aug 16, 2005 · As far as advice on set-up, the NxStage machine set-up. and clean up for that matter, are easy once you perform them a few times. For set-up, just hang your bags, saline, drop the cartridge and make the proper connections. You have 18 minutes for the cylcer to prime before staring treatment.
