I tried several online recipe organizers and methods, including Cook’N, Paprika Recipe Manager, Pepperplate, Pocket, Recipe Sage, and Pinterest.

    • Paprika Recipe Manager. Want to discover a new recipe? Hop on the Paprika app, and use its built-in web browser to find recipes from the best cooking websites for beginners and pros alike.
    • BigOven. As soon as you open the BigOven app, you'll get inspired for your next meal. Tap Get ideas and scroll through dozens of the most mouthwatering recipes.
    • Yummly. Yummly makes it easy to find a recipe that you'll love. It's both an app and a desktop website, making it even more convenient when you want to swap between your phone and your computer.
    • Allrecipes Dinner Spinner. If you're already familiar with the Allrecipes website, then you'll love its app. Allrecipes provides recipe suggestions that make you hungry just by looking at them.
    • Kitchn’s Recipe Box. Let’s say you’re poking around on Kitchn (welcome!) and you come across this recipe for Creamy Shrimp Alfredo. Yum! You want to make this!
    • Big Oven. Big Oven has all the standard features you would expect with a recipe management tool. You can clip recipes, upload your own, and create grocery lists.
    • Dish Dish. Another great basic, Dish Dish lets you arrange recipes you’ve saved from your favorite sites or typed in yourself into specific collections or cookbooks.
    • The Recipe Box. Available for purchases on iPhones and iPads, this app allows user to create, display, and manage recipes. You can import recipes from top food sites, sort them, and even shop from them while you’re at the grocery store.

    • BigOven. If you don’t try any other online recipe organizer on this list, you should at least try this one. The free version doesn’t give you access to the full menu planner and other features, but you do get access to the recipe library where you can add your own recipes.
    • ChefTap. ChefTap is another great cloud and mobile based solution to keep all of your favorite recipes stored in your own private collection. You need to use the Android or iOS app to register and sign up for an account.
    • Paprika. Paprika is a bit different than the other cloud-based online recipe organizers listed on this page. There is no website to use. Instead, you can download the software for a Windows or Mac computer, as well as for Android or iOS.
    • Evernote. Evernote used to have a unique offering called Evernote Food, but it has since been discontinued. Part of the reason for that might be that Evernote itself serves perfectly fine as an online recipe organizer.
