You don't just stay at The Curtis, you experience it! From entering the lobby doors, you are immersed in everything a Denver hotel can offer. You'll find cartoons playing in our lobby and a Five & Dime store filled with treats from the past. Each of our guest room floors has a personality all its own and every detail has been planned to make your experience with us amazing. We aim to create a boutique, one-of-a-kind downtown Denver Colorado hotel experience. Enjoy a signature warm DoubleTree Cookie at check-in!... less

To say nothing of the AC unit that sounded like a fireworks show on the Fourth of July when sadly it was October. Some staff were great, others were not. They did hand out glow sticks during the power outage, which kept the kids in the lobby from screaming, at least constantly.... less

Every floor has a different theme and I haven't been to a hotel which has this feature and its absolutely fantastic. It's a great talking point in the lift, it generates conversation between guests which is unique feature. Talking of lifts, when the lift arrives at any floor, the theme of that floor and the PA system give a really funny comment in a variety of ways saying 'Welcome to 'X' Floor' and its just fantastic. The front desk and bell boy were very helpful and provided a great welcome service. The room we had was on the 15th floor and its a shame about the view being of the opposite building but the views across the city in the corner were awesome. Food may or may not be included in your room rate so check with reception about breakfast as you need a voucher to give to the restaurant and bar next door which I believe is a separate company to the hotel so there is no linkage really. If you don't have breakfast on your rate then breakfast can be purchased and there is some decent options too. The room was very nice and the beds were comfortable too. The A/C unit can be a bit load under high loads and if it is really load, call the front desk. We did have an issue in the room where when we opened the door to the mini fridge, the door fell off in my hands. It looked to be off the hinges before we entered the room. When we called the front desk, they sent someone up and 5 minutes later, they were in our room fixing it. There is a good amount of space in between beds and the beds are of double size which gives plenty of space for one person. The room rate is done by room not the amount of people in the room, so you could have up to 4 people in the room. Wardrobe and bag space may be difficult however. The gym is of decent size and has a good range of equipment and requires your key card to get in.Overall the Curtis is a great hotel with some really quirky features and I found it a joy to stay there and everyone was really helpful.... less
