It is a spiritual place and an architectural work of art both inside and out, designed in the Renaissance Romanesque style of Europe. I very much enjoy taking pictures of historic buildings and this was an excellent choice. My preference is to take those of catholic churches and since times have changed and many churches have to lock their doors for security, I try to arrive a half hour to an hour before mass time. That way I can take photos around the building and inside, without disturbing those that are praying. Usually I participate in the mass; that way I can not only get the spiritual effect, but it also allows me time to absorb the intricate craft and design inside the building. Of course with all the stained glass windows, statues, lights, etc., it is hard to see and appreciate everything in an hour or two, but it is well worth a visit!... less
