It is off the Main Street and is a couple of blocks walk to the other Casinos. The rooms are nice for a budget hotel. The Buffet is very average. the Casino is older and it shows it, it has a variety of slots, limited table games. There is a summer only pool.... less

Looks like management has given up. My room wasn't cleaned after the first night, called and they said they were short of staff. The bed sheets were too small for the bed and wouldn't stay in place... The one positive was the water pressure in the shower. I won't stay there again...... less

We gamble a little bit so we occasionally get mailers for discounted/comped rooms from local casinos. We checked our usual Silver Legacy offerings, but no free rooms were available due to the American Legion being in town that week.Luckily (and not surprisingly) Sands had availability and we were able to score a free room for Sunday and Monday night. We had never stayed there before, but based on our Casino experience, didn't expect much. But you know what? The rooms were clean and comfortable. Not the most up-to-date, but clean and basic.Sure, the furniture was worn and the decor was dated, but everything worked and the bed was just fine.Staff was friendly and our experience was perfectly acceptable. Will we stay there again? Sure. Will it be our first choice.. no.Why?The shower has so much pressure (1215- regency tower), that it feels like you are showering under a fire hose with needle jets. The shower control (one piece) doesn't allow you to adjust the flow rate- just the temperature. The installation of a simple flow restrictor in the shower head would solve the problem. If you can live with that and you get a decent rate on the room, go for it. Just have low expectations. :)... less

Have been to the Sands before and it was a little cleaner this time and you can tell there has been some upgrading.
