Experience the great outdoors at Denver Botanic Gardens. Sprawling over three acres (nine hectares), this natural oasis is replete with several themed gardens. Stroll along bonsais at the Japanese Garden, or enjoy a fairytale-like experience with Winnie the Pooh and friends at the Storybook Gardens. Xeriscape Demo Garden is great to gather tips on home gardening and horticulture, while the Rock Alpine Garden showcases a unique topography. Take a guided tour and marvel at the verdant landscape dotted with exotic flora, lawns, waterfalls and ponds. In addition, these gardens offer several botanical exhibitions, illustrations and workshops that are both fun and interesting.... less

This is a great place to go and relax and enjoy nature. Well maintained and groomed. Nice to visit during the holidays as well as the summer.

This is by far one of the most enjoyable botanical gardens I've ever visited. The flowers are beautiful and the displays very well done. A must-do while in Denver.

An example is the Disney Victorian Solarium never used as intended at EuroDisney and tucked away here for visitors' respite. Finally, there is the most magnificent waterlily pool I've seen since Monet's garden. It is placed adjacent to the Cafe so as to be enjoyed as you dine. And the water is dyed black not only to hide the plants' pots but also to provide photographic beauty. I cannot wait to return to more fully explore this gem. Oh, and the Japanese Garden ... Rose ... At the end of October the vegetation may look not at its best, however, the place must be wonderful in Spring and Summer when the flowers blooms. Plenty of walk trails and corners where to sit and just relax. We saw lots of bunnies and squirrels. Good place for families but also for adults. There is a nice restaurant inside, and the food was good too!... less
