MoreLocated in Ripley County in the state of Indiana, Versailles State Park was established in the year 1943. This popular state park covers an area of 5,988 acres (2,423 hectares). It is home to the 230-acre (93 hectares) Versailles Lake. This park was restored and beautified by Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. At the entrance of the park sits a statue that was made by Ruth Swinney and Lisa Ebinger to commemorate Civilian Conservation Corps’s efforts.
