MoreConstructed in the late 19th Century, Woodstock Opera House is one of the oldest opera houses to have been continuously running since its construction. Architecturally, the structure is a study of the Late Victorian style mixing with other influences like Moorish, Gothic and Early American. The terracotta, limestone and field-stone building is quite impressive to behold. Once housing multiple city departments including the council room, the justice court and the fire department, the building is now used to host theater shows, dance performances, visual arts programs, concerts, as well as major local events, lectures, and meetings.
