MoreThe "Portage Lake Cabins" is a small resort located on Portage Lake in Houghton, MI. We are now open year around. Former owners, the Romp's, have hosted guests from almost every state. They bought the cabins in July 1994 and have recently sold to the new owners, Brian and Rachel Lamppa. The tradition of clean and friendly service lakeside will continue. All cabins have queen size beds, complete kitchens and baths and come with many outdoor amenities. These amenities include outdoor seating, picnic tables, gas grills, a gazebo on the lake. There is a dock for the guests use, a fish cleaning station, and water fun including a raft, slide and pedal boat for the guests to use. The landscape is beautifully maintained and there are many bushes, and flower gardens on the property. We hope you come stay with us! Less
