Having fallen into disrepair, the theater was completely restored to its former glory in 2006 including the marquee and stunning lobby complete with sepia-toned vintage photos. Today the theater still shows feature films, albeit on three updated screens. Unlike generic big-box theaters, the Academy Theater offers upscale cuisine ranging from sushi, gourmet sandwiches and flat bread pizzas to carefully crafted selection of beer and wine. The reclining seats offer ample leg room and a great view of the screen. Tickets are invitingly cheap and reasonably priced accordingly for adults, seniors and children under 12. Less
