The Inn continues to offer guests warm and generous hospitality where even the smallest details are important in an atmosphere of casual comfort. For more than a century, the award-winning Riegelsville Inn has been a retreat for unforgettable getaways and family vacations along the Delaware River. On the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River, overlooking a bridge spanning the River to New Jersey, the Riegelsville Inn is a quiet departure from a high alert life. Beautifully renovated, the landmark inn now features a 100-seat restaurant, all new kitchen equipment, fully licensed pub, eight guest rooms, five with private baths, and parking for 50 cars. The three dining rooms with fireplaces have polished wood floors, stone walls and beamed ceilings. An outdoor dining terrace backs to the Delaware Canal. With the warm coziness, fireside dining and candlelight, the Inn is perfect for a weekend getaway or special event. While at the Inn, enjoy a stroll around the one acre yard and nearby wooded paths, enjoy a sunset, the sounds of the river, or relax and read one of the interesting books from our small library. Located just over an hour from either New York City or Philadelphia, in the peaceful town of Riegelsville, Pa, the Riegelsville Inn is at 10-12 Delaware Road. While Riegelsville Inn has maintained its historic atmosphere, it is not without modern conveniences such as air conditioning and a WiFi hot spot for an Internet connection. The Riegelsville Inn is open year 'round for dinner ( Tuesday thru Sunday ), Saturday lunch and Sunday brunch. We offer casual dining in our dining rooms, Pub, and enclosed second floor porch with a beautiful overlook of the Delaware River. Cozy and welcoming, the functioning fireplaces are lit as soon as the weather turns cold creating romantic candlelit dining. Stone walls, wooden beams, and emerald tile, along with a tin ceiling in the classically English pub, add to the inn's welcoming country elegance reminiscent of another more relaxed era. The inn is in keeping with the thinking of the time when it was built, such as William Penn's belief that life in the country was more wholesome than in the worldly atmosphere of crowded cities.
