MoreDuring 1929, when the entire city of Manchester was reeling under the effects of the Great Depression, Dora Mae realized the need for a pub. Everyone around needed a drink to relax and wane away all the worries. Soon word passed and locals started heading here for a pint or two. During the Prohibition era, she operated the pub from the basement of a building. In 1974, the Auntie Mae's Parlor was reopened as a tribute to the lady who provided the much needed respite during Prohibition era.
