MoreIt's been quiet. Too quiet. Artists and musicians alike have been itching for a new place to visit, to enjoy, to participate. A place where they can perform and witness self-expression by others. Thus, the necessity for The Stomping Ground became apparent. A social setting where everyone is welcome, respected, and encouraged to be themselves. Located in the heart of the budding town of Putnam, CT, The Stomping Ground is a new music and art venue, serving food and libations, but with a focus on live performances and contemporary art. Live music occurs Tuesday thru Saturday at 8pm, and at 1pm on Sundays. We also have Taco Tuesday starting at 4pm, when we serve (2) gourmet tacos for $7. On Wednesdays at 6pm, we host Trivia on Tap with Bud and Jeff, and on Thursdays we have our Straight Up Jazz Series from 5:30 to 7:30pm. In addition, we have the Island Celie Farm Band on the third Saturday of every month at 1pm, performing traditional acoustic Irish music, as well as an open Electric Jam Session at 2pm on the last Saturday of every month. As if that's not enough, keep your eye on our calendar for other special events, such as tap takeovers, casks on the bar and more! We accept cash or card, and love suggestions.
