MoreOffice, home, and video appointments available. As a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy, I also hold a diploma in MDT (the McKenzie method). I evaluate and treat based on movement and education. What sets me apart from other orthopedic clinicians is 1) I believe most times you have to challenge the musculoskeletal system with real movement to know what's going on (in contrast to pictures or quick tests). 2) I approach the body holistically. For example, for patients with knee complaints, we may evaluate the low back or the hip. 3.) I believe that what you do to your musculoskeletal system on a regular basis matters, so usually lifestyle factors need to be addressed. I use one-on-one appointments. There are no assistants, aides, or other staff. I find most (not all) patients can resolve their disorder with 1-2 movements performed repeatedly. For other patients, treatments can be more involved. The average number of visits is 6. My goal is to reverse the disorder and create a plan to minimize or prevent recurrence - not just mitigate symptoms. In addition to my Ivy League bachelor's and top-ranked doctorate, I hold two orthopedic specializations. I have mentored many physical therapist and physical therapist assistant students as a credentialed clinical instructor and am always striving to learn about orthopedics and other facets of health.
