MoreDane County Farmers' Market is the biggest farmers' market in the United States that comprises solely of direct producer to consumer retail. During summer, it is spread outside Wisconsin State Capitol on Saturdays, and at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Wednesdays. The venue changes to Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center during winter. The entire State Capitol is surrounded by more than 300 vendors selling a variety of local goods. There are large and small stalls retailing fresh vegetables and fruits, maple syrup, jellies, local breads, grilled cheese, honey sticks and syrup, meat and spices. Local craft items are sold only during winter. Despite being America's largest farmers' market, it is well organized, and shoppers can easily navigate through the colorful stalls. Less
