Don't expect the typical run down petting zoo, though: the collection of more than 300 animals contains a wide range of exotic beasts, including alligators, leopards, sloths and flamingos, just to name a few species. In addition to the animal exhibits, more than 400 species of plants are attractively displayed throughout the zoo. Kids can also ride on the zoo's miniature railroad, visit the gift shop or dine at Valentino's Safari Cafe. Check website for varying dates. Less
