He greeted me upon arrival unlike the front desk who acted like I wasn’t standing in front of them. The person who ended up helping me was new and very nice. He had a trainer tag on but did not have anyone behind him to answer any questions he had. I did mobile check in and he obviously hadn’t seen that before and it’s not his fault. It took awhile to check in because he didn’t have assistance. He did his best and i appreciated that. While I was waiting to get checked in I see luggage piled up behind the desk. Just looked bad and not secure. I wouldn’t leave my luggage with this hotel based on my observation. Cleanliness is definitely an area that needs to be addressed with this hotel. The elevators were very dirty and the ice machines had mold building up inside. The rooms are spacious. My room has a balcony but the door would not lock. Since I was on a high floor it wasn’t a major issue but it’s still a problem. Called down to tell the desk and they said thanks for letting us know. The lamp shade had a light bulb hanging off it. I placed it back in the lamp and it was obviously in need of being replaced. The desk chair had stains on it for what I don’t want to know. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. We went out Saturday night and a security guard standing behind the desk yelled at us as we were walking about of the hotel, “you better have your key or you won’t be let back in when you return”. What if I lose my key? You aren’t going to let me back in? It was very unprofessional. With all the hotel options in the area one would think you would treat people better. Overall not a great experience and I will seek to stay elsewhere when I want to stay downtown for a weekend.... less

They were participating in a choir event across the street in the convention center, so the location was perfect. The day was broke up for us, meaning we left the room by 8 or so in the morning and returned at 11:30 then left again before 1. We returned at 1:15 and our room had still not been cleaned, even though the housekeeping cart sat in the hall in the same spot from 11 till 1 pm. My husband called the front desk around 12:30 to find out when the room would be cleaned, because I wasn’t feeling well and needed to lay down. Took our daughters to the convention center across the street and came back at 1:40 to find the room still uncleaned. I understand thr hotel is full, but when there’s been no movement whatsoever in the hallway, kinda makes you think there’s a definite staffing issue. The room needed garbage cans emptied, a refill on coffee supplies and new towels and wash clothes or we would’ve just called down for new towels. Considering the cost of this room, very disappointed.... less

I had read a lot of reviews about the train noise and almost cancelled due to that factor, but decided not to at the last minute. We simply asked for a courtyard room and it was quiet. The train noise didn't bother us at all. Breakfast was included with our rate, and although there weren't a ton of choices, what they did have was good. The made to order omelettes were yummy. If you don't have it included in your rate I think it's around $15 or $16 or so a person which I don't think I would pay for what is available so be sure to try and get a rate that breakfast is included, The location is by far the best if you are going to an event at the convention center or Chesapeake arena. Overall, we had a great stay, decent size clean rooms, and kind staff. The only item to be aware of is the pool was very high in chemicals and irritated my daughters skin, so just watch how much time the kiddos are in the pool. Was very satisfied with our stay and would definitely stay here again!... less

Lobby was clean and trendy, not enough staff working the 3-6 PM shift to accommodate the flux of people coming in for Thunder game. Drive through/valet area was a madhouse and backed up, as was the hotel front desk. I tried checking in via the app, but didn't realize you had to give several hours advance notice to do so. Room was nice, but all of the minimally used things (ice bucket, coffee maker, etc had a solid layer of dust on them). Also, a layer of dust on the $4 bottle of water that we did NOT touch but WERE charged for after checkout! No vending machines available, only the "market" downstairs and all bottled drinks $3. Staff was nice. Breakfast not included and was described by staff as "$10 for continental and $15 for hot buffet". $10 bagel, no thanks. Would def stay again if attending an event at Chesapeake, but otherwise, would look elsewhere. Also, walls are paper thin. We could hear full conversations in rooms to either side of us.... less
