MoreFounded in 1967, Heart of Georgia Technical College is an educational facility that provides technical and adult education. The college, also known as HGTC, offers various applied science degrees, diploma programs and technical certificate courses. It has a more than 74,000-square-foot structure on an over 17-acre campus. The college features a 17,000-square-foot meeting and exhibit hall that hosts graduation ceremonies, formal dances, dinners and luncheons, concerts, musical variety shows, family reunions, trade shows and training seminars and workshops. Heart of Georgia Technical College also features various training rooms and computer laboratories, as well as a lecture hall, lobby, conference center and catering kitchen. Its classrooms are equipped with Internet access, projectors, flip charts, easels, markers, tabletop podiums, lecterns, televisions and audio visual equipment. The college s programs are approved by the State Board of Directors of the Technical College System of Georgia and the Council on Occupational Education.
