MoreThe Theatre of the Performing Arts of Shreveport (TPA) has successfully operated in the Shreveport metropolitan area for thirty-eight (39) years, promoting a positive representation of African American culture through theatre, dance, music, visual arts, African American history, and literature. Over the past twenty-one (22) years, TPA has developed and conducted cultural arts programs that address the challenges of low income neighborhoods, such as gang violence, poor educational performance, and lack of quality cultural arts programming.
