MoreThe National New York Central Railroad Museum was founded in the year 1987, and is dedicated to the preservation of New York Central Railroad history. The museum recaptures the glorious days, when the America's railroads were seen as a symbol of progress across the country, and also tells the story of all its predecessors and successors in the modern era. On display are several indoor and outdoor equipments, model railroads and artifacts that are both educational and historical. The noteworthy exhibits on display are the lounge and parlor car, a NYC GG-1, the Adlake 1927 mural, an O gauge model train layout etc, there is also a viewing room which has a collection of train related videos. Admission fee is nominal, and the museum remains closed on Monday and public holidays. Less
