The Chicago Blackhawks moved into the newly done United Center in time for the 1994-1995 season. The United Center features the ultimate in fan entertainment and comfort. Some of the new amenities include an eight sided video replay scoreboard, theater-style seats, 46 permanent concession stands, a cocktail lounge, interactive concourse displays, and more. Fan convenience and accessibility are also key features at the United Center, a 960,000 square foot multipurpose facility that accommodates 20,500 for hockey, 21,500 for basketball, and up to 23,500 for concerts and other entertainment. The United Center was also home to the 1996 Democratic National Convention.... less

Weird game. 100 points during first half for the warriors... really tough for Chicago... But really fun to spend time in the United Center remembering Michael Jordan's time.

Especially at night after a game.Just follow the folk to the parking or various Uber pickup zones. But close to the stadium it’s pretty safe and lot of law enforcement is present. At the stadium it was great to see the MJ statue and the atmosphere during the matches was awesome. The food and drink are expensive, but this is expected at events like this.... less

I bought my ticket for the Maple Leafs match on line and had to pay what I consider to be a staggering and eye watering amount of $166 - say £128 for a seat in section 311.The stadium is situated in Ashland and whilst it has a CTA station, on line and my hotel concierge said it was not a good idea to walk to the Center from the station - security issues. There is a brilliant number 19 shuttle Express bus that starts going to the arena from 90 mins before the start of the game from Michigan Ave. Great value at $2.50 each way and it drops you off right outside Gate 1 and takes you back into town at the end of the match.I needed Gate 6 but didn't see any direction signs indicating which way I should walk to get there - very poor. Security was strict - not a problem with that- bit like an airport - all belongings in a tray and then through a scanner. There were the predictable number of eateries - thought the beer was pricey.Enjoyed the match - easy to exit the arena- liked the fact that the direction of the escalator had been reversed. Plenty of buses right outside to take us back to the city - despite the traffic it only took c 25 minutes - a very smooth bus operation both ways - a real bonus.A good experience and although academic to me I wouldn't want to pay nearly £130 for a league ice hockey match every week. Pleased I attended though.... less
