Founded in 1984, it provides shelter to homeless and disowned domesticated animals. Spread across an area of 3,700 acres (1,497 hectares), the sanctuary is home to horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, and even pigs. The volunteers attempt to find homes for these animals, serving as a refuge for them in the meanwhile. Every year, scores of visitors arrive at the sanctuary to interact with the animals and adopt pets. Numerous activities can be enjoyed here, including sanctuary tours and guided hikes. Less
