Founded in 1855 by attorney and abolitionist Ovid Butler, the university occupies 20 buildings on 290 acres in the Butler-Tarkington neighborhood of Indianapolis. The university enrolls more than 4,500 students each year and offers more than 60 academic majors in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Undergraduate degrees include Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy. Graduate degrees include Master of Arts, Master of Business Administration, Master of Music and Master of Science.
