MoreThe Chi Town Union Station and West Oakland Railroad Museum is one the largest ‘O’ scale model rail road and the longest model train. The rail layout is spread over an area of 5000 square feet (465 square meters) of floor space and has been recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. The museum was founded by Paul Gribbell with the objective of showcasing accurate historical representation of railroads in America during the 1950s and 60s. The entire model rail network is computer controlled. The place is run and managed by volunteers and is open in weekends, seasonally between November to early March. Less
