Over these past 145 years the company has had only 5 owners. Each owner has maintained meticulous records over these many years and the result is a very valuable data base and hard copy collection of information regarding title to real estate in Lee County Iowa. We are proud to continue the tradition of excellent service and professional response times. Our data base includes records on divorces, probates, and other legal actions as well as copies of all documents recorded in South Lee County back to the early 1970's. These internal records and data bases coupled with current data available to our firm from the various county and state offices give us a full picture of the real estate titles on which we work. We are located in a recently renovated landmark building in downtown Keokuk. Local customers will know the building by reputation and we are easily found at the corner of Main Street and 4th Street in downtown Keokuk. Our offices have the elegance of an historic property with the modern equipment necessary to transact business in today's high tech world. Our board room makes an elegant facility in which to handle real estate closings and execute documents of any sort. Keokuk Abstract & Title was acquired in 1998 by a licensed attorney who works full time in the title business on site. Kevin J. Kuckelman was admitted to the bar in 1985 and has been engaged in the title business full time for the past 9 years. Our courteous, professional staff are highly trained and are seasoned in the profession of title research and the preparation of abstracts of title. Linda lives in Warsaw, Illinois and has been employed Keokuk Abstract & Title Company for 14 years. She has worked on a variety of large scale projects from highway acquisitions to commercial and large farm transactions. Linda is excellent at legal descriptions, review of plats, and other detailed work. Lori lives in Montrose, Iowa and has been employed Keokuk Abstract & Title Company for 16 years. Lori has excellent customer service skills and is a very capable abstractor. Tammy Richardson has been employed Keokuk Abstract & Title Co for 4 years. Tammy specializes in final continuations of the Abstract of Title for purchasers. Her strong attention to details make her invaluable when searching the records for our preliminary continuations. Marie handles billing questions, prepares invoices and sees to it the documentation is complete before delivery of the work product. Marie can research questions regarding when abstracts were prepared, where they were delivered and to whom they were delivered as well as break down invoices or send out additional billing information as needed.
