The area where the winery stands today was purchased by owner Lynn Fritz in 1980; this was his escape from his busy schedule. Fritz himself planted many trees and plants in the region, and the potent vines that he planted then gave Lynmar Estate the designation of a small winery. Today, the winery boasts of wines as old as 40 years with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir being their major varieties.
