The twin complexes are linked at the center by a golden rotunda, attributing a peculiar 'H' shape to the State House. It's an excellent example of 18th-century American Renaissance architecture. Situated on State Street, alongside other government buildings, the New Jersey State House is the centerpoint of the state's legislative powers.   When we visited the capitol the outside was under renovation. The interior of the building was nice. It had marble floors and columns of marble. The chambers were being utilized by a school group.... More

  Take the free tour and learn a lot about this state's capital (the building itself is different than the US Capitol!) Lotsa history here, and for Capital Collectors, the stamp is at the tour lectern.... More
