The pub is spotless and warm with a great log fire. Dinner for 10 on Saturday night after a long day on the fells, was absolutely fabulous - great homecooking and some local specialities too. The landlady Julie is a delight, as are her staff and nothing is too much bother. This pub cannot be bettered and I recommend it to both tourists and locals.
