The version of “It’s All Over Now,” originally written by Bobby and Shirley Womack and made famous by The Rolling Stones, is relatively perfunctory blues. “Twistin’ The Night Away” (Sam Cooke) is prime live Faces, all boogie and grit.
Rod Stewart vocals. Ronnie Lane formed the band Faces with Ian Mclagan, Kenney Jones, Ronnie Wood and Rod Stewart in 1969. Good-time Blues Rock was one of the offshoots of British music at the end of the 60s, and the Faces were at the forefront of the movement. Bass player and songwriter Ronnie Lane was the heart and soul of the band.
