Kevin Joseph Aloysius Connors (April 10, 1921 – November 10, 1992) was an American actor, writer, and professional basketball and baseball player.
Playing for the Boston Celtics in 1946, Chuck Connors was the first NBA player to shatter a backboard, doing so during a pre-game warm-up in the Boston Garden. Connors was one of only twelve athletes in history to have played for both Major League Baseball and in the NBA.
