Oliver Burgess Meredith ( Cleveland, 16 de novembro de 1907 [ 1][ 2] – Malibu, 9 de setembro de 1997) foi um ator norte-americano. He won an Emmy as attorney Joseph Welch in Tail Gunner Joe, a 1977 TV movie about Joseph McCarthy. (Interestingly, the real Joseph Welch played the judge in Anatomy of a Murder.)

Oliver Burgess Meredith was born on November 16, 1907, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Ida Burgess and Dr William George Meredith. He went to Hoosac School and later attended Amherst College, Massachusetts. He worked for a newspaper as a reporter after completing his education.
