Many of the old features of the town are preserved. The narrow streets and the ridiculously small Public Square make one wonder whether he has not been suddenly transported into some ancient European village. However as the town’s second century began, so did it’s appearance.
Historic Harmony, Inc. was founded in 1943 and operates the Harmony Museum, which interprets 250 years of rich history. Museum presentations that include George Washington's 1753 Mission, the communal Harmony Society, Mennonites, and the collection of outstanding sporting rifles by 19th century Harmony gunsmith Charles Flowers.
