Oak Bottom – Whiskeytown NRA Overview. Oak Bottom Campground has 114 campsites and is the only one within the boundaries of Whiskeytown NRA located on the shores of Whiskeytown Lake. There are 22 reservable RV campsites and 94 (walk-to) tent-only sites. The RV sites are parking lot slots (no fire rings/pits) and have a 35-foot parking spur.
The trailhead is up Brandy Creek Road. Many other hikes are available in the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, ranging all the way up to the 7-mile Papoose Pass Trail.
