Feb 21, 2024 · The tragedy of it is that Wes Craven still makes a case for himself that he could’ve delivered an exceptional Swamp Thing movie, what with the foreboding swamps and thoughtful characterization, if he weren’t using it as a vehicle for more simpleminded entertainment. Honestly, Swamp Thing is the perfect comic book IP for Wes Craven.
