Call-In Jurors. Prospective jurors are summoned as Call-in Jurors. Call-in Jurors receive a summons that instructs them to call our office after 5:00 p.m. on a Friday. As a Call-in Juror, you may be instructed to call the recording every day, beginning on your summons day, a Friday, and continuing for no more than 5 court days.
Juror Per Diems. California provides jurors with $15 every day starting on the second day of service, except employees of governmental entities who receive full pay and benefits from their employers while on jury service. Because governmental employers already pay these jurors, the courts do not pay them an additional daily fee.
