Also included are severals songs by the group Badfinger while one of the numbers is written by The Beatles and a stiring Thunderclap Newman Something in the Air towards the end of the film.

The Magic Christian is all too clearly representative of the impasse independent mainstream film-making found itself in when given its head by the industry in the '60s. The result is a variety concert of a film in which most of the acts/jokes fall flat.
Aug 18, 2019 · The Magic Christian follows a series of fragmented adventures, where the Grands flit about London, creating scenes in classy restaurants, defacing artwork in front of an aghast auctioneer (John Cleese), before accompanying a bunch of wealthy elite onto a doomed cabin cruise crammed with gorillas, vampires — and a cross-dressing Yul Brynner.
2 years later, nervous "Magic Christian" producers wanted to avoid another calamity, and allowed Sellers to tinker with the screenplay and take over direction. In 2 sequences, Sellers acts with his back to the camera. "The Magic Christian" is a curious mish-mash of adroit British humor, shaky hand-held photography, and cut-and-paste story-telling.
