On September 1, 2004, a group of heavily armed Chechen extremists stormed into School No 1 in Beslan, North Ossetia, Russia. For three days more than a thousand children and adults were held hostage in a sweltering gym, denied food and water and were forced to keep their hands over their heads.
This hour long documentary tells the horrific story of the siege at the Russian school in Beslan from 1-3 September last year in which 171 children and more than 200 adults died. The only words spoken are those of some of the children who survived the siege spoken in their first language edited with subtitles.
