Nov 2023 • Family. A great history to this park, dating back almost 100 years, and there’s still plenty of life there today. The Palace of Arts is now a brewery, serving the most delicious Sunday roast (so good we travelled up by train for it). The kids love the birds on the pond and the great play park by the community cafe.
All of this is underpinned by our core philosophy to showcase and expose talent based in the locality. The festival takes place at Exhibition Park – a stunning parkland location close to Newcastle Centre. Come and join the celebration. Pull up a deckchair and sip on a Cocktail. The courts are located in the scenic Exhibition Park in the heart of Newcastle. There are 5 hard tennis courts at the park, where people of all ages and standards can play. He located springs on the Coxlodge Estate, north of Newcastle and erected a steam engine to supply the town. Loge later constructed a resevoir on the Town Moor which remained until 1797. He developed four resevoirs on the Town Moor, these later became Exhibition Park lake. The Town was overcrowded and insanitary leading to poor health.
