Oct 18, 2022 · Ian Rankin is a master of the police procedural. John Rebus being one of my favorite characters along with the likes of Harry Bosch. This is a typical Rankin story and like all his others a page turner as he unfolds the clues to what is happening. The ending is a bit of a twist as the reader is left to imagine the fate of John Rebus.
