The Seoul Olympic park is set in a remoter part of the capital, southeast from the city center across the Han river, and you need around 45 min to reach it by public transport. It is in vicinity of the Lotte world tower, some 15-20 min walk from it so it's convenient to combine the two.
In 1988, Seoul held the summer Olympics and the Olympic Park was built for these games. The Olympic Park is a huge park and it is a joy to be in it. I found it to be a beautiful park. The park is divided into four zones namely for sports/recreation; arts and culture; environment; and history.
Oct 1, 2019 · It is a large park with beautiful scenery. The best is to go there in the afternoon, take the path on the right and then walk anti-clockwise around the park. The alternative subway access is the Olympic Station (P550) but there is a lot walking to do ie from there to walk around the park to Mongchontoseong station.
