May 19, 2017 · It's hard to imagine an Iron Maiden album that would be greeted by the public more odiously than The X Factor. In some ways, this album is underestimated and misunderstood, but it is magnificent and a masterpiece. You just need to look at it a little wider and approach it without expecting to hear something in the usual manner.

It is the band's first album to include Blaze Bayley, formerly of Wolfsbane, as vocalist, replacing Bruce Dickinson who left the band following their previous tour to pursue a solo career.
