  1. Mar 18, 2015 · I recently purchased a pen from GoldSpot pens. The pen I purchased was supposedly a "Visconti Van Gogh Midi Sandal Mechanical Pencil." Today this pen arrived in the mail. Is this pen a Van Gogh Midi? I would think this is a mini, but no bigger. Nevertheless, I don't have any knowledge of this sizes, only owning a Maxi, which is a lot bigger!

  2. Apr 10, 2008 · The medium Aida seemed mechanically a really fat nib. But the Van Gogh and Opera Club mediums seemed reasonable to the eye, while the fine Opera club felt pretty sharp and pointy. But of course, feed wetness is a big factor on how thick of a line is ultimately laid down on paper. Many thanks in advance.

  3. Jan 7, 2007 · Visconti Van Gogh Mini and Midi are no longer in production. This is one my regularly used pens, i can keep it in my pant pocket because of the reliable screw on cap. The design of the Van Gogh and the colour choices are brilliant, I can see myself buying all the colours. Things I really liked about this pen: -Screw on cap

  4. Apr 15, 2005 · Im getting a new fp for my birthday, and Pam @ Oscar Braun recommended a Visconti Van Gogh Midi for $80. I like the looks. What do you think? She also mentioned alternatives of Parker Sonnet Special Tartan Silver Plate FP with 18K nib for $75 or Namiki VP for $72.

  5. Jan 10, 2010 · Note: This is my first review so let me know how it is. Construction & Quality: 9 – The pen is solidly built, with no visual flaws. Visconti's quality is always top-notch and this pen is a fine example. It is actually a light pen considering it is 5 3/4" capped.

  6. Nov 21, 2017 · With the Van Gogh it scores high marks. I do like to showcase my pens at home. That being said, $299 is quite steep for this and I wouldn't pay $299 for it. I got mine from a reputable dealer for just over $200. That's a price I'm willing to pay for the Van Gogh, but at $299 it doesn't represent a great value prop with a steel nib.

  7. May 13, 2011 · There are different Van Goghs and different Pelikans. I like larger pens and am something of a gold nib snob. Ergo, I have two Van Gogh Maxis with gold nib and five Pelikan M800s. However, between a steel nib Van Gogh midi and a Pelikan 200, I suppose I'd pick the Pelikan. It is piston fill and, it seems to me, a lot more sturdily made.
