The three labs combined these to a weighted estimated of 1260 to 1390 AD: The results of radiocarbon measurements at Arizona, Oxford and Zurich yield a calibrated calendar age range with at least 95% confidence for the linen of the Shroud of Turin of AD 1260 - 1390 (rounded down/up to nearest 10 yr).

May 22, 2014 · Okay, it is no longer 1988 and we can only look back. There is enough reasonable evidence to be very suspicious about the results of the carbon dating like cotton fibers, gum, dye, splices, vanillin and statistics. Now there is all this quoted described tomfoolery. We can still declare a hard stop, in a sense.
Jan 19, 2011 · Big time! What Joe Marino and Sue Benford accomplished is monumental. They proposed that the material used for carbon dating was from an area of the shroud that had been mended using a process called invisible reweaving. Of course, as everyone involved in shroud research now knows, Ray Rogers, a Los Alamos chemist, doubted they were right.
The 1988 carbon dating of samples from the Shroud of Turin produced a date a 1260-1390 AD. Those who believe the Shroud probably dates to the time of Jesus, i.e. about 33 AD, often explain this carbon date is due to normal contamination such as handling, intentional placing of materials such as wax on the Shroud, or carbon deposited on the Shroud from the fire in 1532.
