Feb 20, 2024 · This is a review of the Kino Lorber Feb. 2024 4K Ultra HD release of "Leviathan" (1989). The DTS 2CH on both the 4K and Blu-ray discs is not true two channel, it sounds like it's the film's original Dolby SR as it has minimal surround sound information steered to the rear speakers with an effective subwoofer.

The film also won the 2010 Sundance / NHK International Filmmakers Award.
