John William " Long John " Baldry (12 January 1941 – 21 July 2005) was an English musician and actor. In the 1960s, he was one of the first British vocalists to sing the blues in clubs and shared the stage with many British musicians including the Rolling Stones and the Beatles.

Feb 4, 2008 · John Baldry made his first major breakthrough with Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated, which included Charlie Watts and Mick Jagger. With that group he played the Ealing Jazz and Marquee clubs and in 1962 released the first British electric blues album, R&B from the Marquee (ACL 1130 Decca).
