While its tariffs consistently ranked as some of the cheapest on the market, it was unable to survive wholesale energy price hikes in late 2021, announcing its closure in September of that year.
Generally, energy suppliers charge an exit fee if you switch contracts early. However, Avro does not charge exit fees on its tariffs. Avro Energy is a well-established challenger to the “Big Six” energy suppliers. Its tariffs offer low prices and easy-to-understand terms. There are four fixed deals and one pay-as-you-go option.

Oct 8, 2022 · OFGEM, the energy regulator, have now formally revoked Avro’s energy supply license. We are now waiting for the courts to formally appoint an administrator. We expect this process to take a couple of days - until this happens we will be unable to access Avro energy systems. If you have account questions, please do not contact us yet.
