These relationships, coupled with projects with broad-based commercial appeal, resulted in the production of some of the highest revenue grossing movies ever made, including Terminator 2, Basic Instinct, Cliffhanger, Total Recall and the Rambo franchise.
Carolco Pictures was an American independent motion picture production company founded by film investors Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna in 1976. The company's first major success was First Blood (1982), and Carolco Pictures went on to produce multiple films starring Sylvester Stalone.
