The historic site is located within the boundaries of the Harry S Truman Historic District National Historic Landmark. Grandview Unit: In 1993 the property boundary for Harry S Truman NHS was expanded to include the Truman Farm Home (12301 Blue Ridge Boulevard - Harry Truman lived and worked on the farm from 1906-1917.)

The Visitor Center is located at the intersection of Truman Road and Main Street, in Historic Fire Station No.1. The Truman Home is five blocks to the west of the visitor center.
