In this futuristic cop show, the Newcomers are aliens from the planet Tencton whose spaceship, a slave ship, crash-landed in the Mojave Desert in the early '90s. Now 1995 (the near future, as the show aired 1989-90), the plot of the series revolves around Newcomer George Francisco and his partner Matt Sikes, who are both detectives for the LAPD.
